Nothing has changed over time: the Abbey remains a true haven of peace, ideal for rest and serenity. Most of the 37 air-conditioned rooms and suites are arranged around the Great Oak Gallery, spread over two floors. All offer a privileged setting, with open views either over the lake or the Abbey’s gardens.
Varying in size, décor, and location, each room has preserved the soul and character of this historic place while providing modern comfort and amenities. Whether inspired by tradition or decidedly contemporary, each invites you to enjoy a moment of calm and gentle wellbeing.
Due to the Abbey’s heritage status and its listing as a protected historic building in France, the existing architecture is not intended to be altered. Installing a lift is therefore not permitted, in order to preserve the site’s historical integrity.
However, two suites recently fitted out on the ground floor make it possible to welcome guests who have difficulty using stairs. Although the property does not have rooms that strictly meet PRM accessibility standards, these arrangements offer a comfortable alternative for staying at the Abbaye de Talloires, in keeping with its heritage and identity.
