Palazzetto Bru Zane – Centre de musique romantique française

On the initiative of Doctor Nicole Bru, the Palazzetto Bru Zane – Centre de musique romantique française is a work of the Bru Foundation which itself was created in 2005. Education, research, development and transmission of heritage, and the care of the environment are the key domains chosen by Nicole Bru to perpetuate the name and the actions of the founders of UPSA Laboratories. Uniting artistic ambition and scientific rigour, the Palazzetto Bru Zane is a new rendering of the human spirit which guides the actions of the Bru Foundation. At the same time, it bears witness to the passion of a life for music. Situated in Venice, the Centre aspires to give the French musical repertory of the extended 19th century the presence in the world it deserves. The objectives are several. A dynamic location for programming, teaching and work, the Centre also has the ambition to provide a location for documentary resources, research, publication and the dissemination of learning.
