- Rooms of Abbaye-

“… I wish I could have stayed there a few years to have a true rest.”

Mark Twain speaking about his stay at the Abbey in 1891!

Nothing has really changed! The Abbey remains a genuine haven of peace conducive to serenity, calm and rest.
The majority of the 33 suites and rooms are situated around the oaken Grand Gallery over two floors offering breathtaking views: certain with a direct view over the lake and others over the gardens.
Each room has its own individual character: whether it’s size, decoration or location, its character has been preserved whilst succumbing to comfort and modernity.

As the Abbey is a listed historical monument, we have no possibility to install a lift and thus we can not welcome clients with mobility handicap. Nevertheless the restaurant is accessible to wheelchairs. There are rennovation works planned for 2019 in order to make the Abbey accessible for other handicaps.

Beaucoup de charme pour cette ancienne abbaye!
Bâtiment très bien restauré et très bien entretenu. Un petit voyage dans le temps.
Accueil, déco, cuisine, soins du corps... nous ont permis de passer un magnifique séjour.

We stayed here mid September and had a standard double which was up to expected but with a very nice bathroom and great view of Lake Annecy. The hotel is not top draw but charming. It has the best position in Talloires with a lovely 'pontoon' to sunbathe and swim from and watch the locals pull up in their boats for an early evening drink. In good weather you can sit outside for breakfast and lunch which is all very agreeable. I would choose this one again over the other more upmarket if we return.
